A Learning Culture, Not a Teaching Culture

The Team

Updated: Apr 3, 2021

"In classrooms where learning is taking place at the highest level, teachers move around purposefully, offering feedback to students, clarifying misconceptions, checking for understanding, and asking for students to think deeply" (Thomas_EL, Jones and Vari, 2020). Yet at the same time, to be an effective teacher, a teacher must also be a student, a teacher who loves learnng.

MyTeachersFiji has a dedicated space for professional learning. Currently, there's reading materials organised under five broad categories (which we will look to increase over time):

We encourgae teachers to share with us any professional learning materials that they come across and we will be more than happy to make that available to everyone in our community.
